The Month of Conferences

October 5, 2012 by The Musical Autist 1 Comment

This weekend CJ and Laura-Sun will be at the AutCom2012  conference.  If you haven’t heard about it, click on the this link, and look at the program.  You will be blown away.  We are very honored to have a table for our display board, where CJ and Laura-Sun will be chatting it up and making more videos like they did here and here.

CJ keeps thinking, “Wow, for as psyched as all my #MusicTherapy friends are, about the AMTA Nat’l Conference next weekend….I am EQUALLY as excited about THIS conference!”   There are SO many friends on the spectrum and true allies that Laura-Sun and CJ are eager to meet this weekend at AutCom2012.
Then on Wednesday morning CJ heads to Chicago, on a road trip with her awesomely fantastic friend Maria (music therapy director at the Hochstein School), for 5 days of fun and enlightenment of all things Music Therapy.  🙂  Again, so many people CJ’s excited to meet up with in person!
As if all this conference excitement were not enough, at the end of the month CJ will presenting for a small group of music therapists in the Mid-Atlantic Region. You wanna hear the title?

SensoryFriendly Concerts:  An opportunity to celebrate Neurodiversity through Community Music Therapy.

Chances are, if you are in any way steeped in either the autism community, or the music therapy community, your ears (or in this case eyes) just perked up.   Pretty hot topics in both camps!
